General Terms and Conditions – Crystal Hunting Tours

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all crystal hunting tours booked through hauserstrahler.ch.

2. Contracting Party

Nicola Hauser, Stampfenbachstrasse 107, 8006 Zurich, as a self-employed individual.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Bookings are binding upon payment.
  • Payment is made at the time of booking by credit card/online payment.
  • Prices are in CHF. With an annual turnover below CHF 100,000, prices are stated exclusive of VAT (no VAT obligation).

4. Cancellation Policy

  • Up to 14 days before the tour: Free cancellation (100% refund).
  • 7–14 days before the tour: 50% refund.
  • Less than 7 days: No refund.
  • Weather-related cancellation by the tour leader: 100% refund or free rebooking.

5. Weather-Related Cancellations

The tour leader reserves the right to cancel or abort tours in bad weather (thunderstorms, heavy rain, snow, fog, storms) for safety reasons. Safety is the top priority.

6. Liability Disclaimer & Personal Responsibility

  • Participation in crystal hunting tours is at your own risk.
  • The tour leader assumes no liability for accidents, injuries, or property damage that occur during the tour, unless attributable to gross negligence on the part of the tour leader.
  • By booking, participants confirm that they are physically capable of completing the chosen tour.
  • Mountain-suitable equipment as specified in the tour requirements is mandatory.
  • Insurance is the responsibility of the participant (accident insurance, Rega patron membership recommended).

7. Mineral Finds

  • Crystals found during crystal hunting tours may be taken home by participants, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Particularly rare or large finds may be subject to reporting obligations (varies by canton).
  • The tour leader reserves the right to handle scientifically significant finds separately.

8. Code of Conduct

  • The tour leader's instructions must be followed at all times.
  • Alcohol and drugs are prohibited during the tour.
  • Nature reserves and protected zones are to be respected.
  • Leave nature as you found it.

9. Important Notice

Crystal hunting tours are not mountain guide tours. The provider is a crystal hunter (Strahler), not a certified mountain guide. Tours range up to a maximum of SAC T3 (T3-T4 for the most demanding tours).

General Terms and Conditions – Online Shop

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through the online shop at hauserstrahler.ch.

2. Conclusion of Contract

By placing an order, the customer makes a binding offer to purchase. The purchase contract is concluded upon receipt of the order confirmation by email.

3. Prices and Payment

  • All prices are in CHF.
  • Payment by credit card or bank transfer.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping is handled by Swiss Post. Shipping costs depend on weight and destination country:

  • Switzerland / Liechtenstein: CHF 9.– (up to 2 kg), CHF 12.– (up to 10 kg), CHF 21.– (up to 30 kg). PostPac Economy.
  • Europe: From CHF 14.50 (up to 500 g) to CHF 76.– (up to 30 kg), depending on weight. Kleinwaren International / PostPac International.
  • Rest of the World: From CHF 17.50 (up to 500 g) to CHF 76.– (up to 30 kg), depending on weight. Kleinwaren International / PostPac International.

Important notice regarding international shipping: The stated shipping costs are based on the current rates of Swiss Post. Should additional costs arise for international shipments (e.g., customs duties, import taxes, post-clearance fees, or special surcharges of the destination country), these are entirely borne by the buyer. The seller assumes no liability for additional costs arising from customs or import regulations of the recipient's country.

5. Right of Withdrawal

The customer has the right to withdraw from the order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving reasons. The goods must be returned in perfect condition and in their original packaging. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer. For international returns, the customer bears the full return shipping costs including any customs duties.

6. Delivery

Shipping is handled by Swiss Post. Delivery times:

  • Switzerland: 2–4 business days
  • Europe: 5–10 business days
  • Rest of the World: 7–21 business days

Every crystal is carefully and securely packaged. The seller assumes no liability for damage or loss caused by the shipping carrier, but will endeavour to find a fair solution.

7. Warranty

As these are natural products, every crystal is unique. Minor variations in colour, shape, and size compared to the images are possible and do not constitute a defect.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
