Rock crystal shaped like a heart

This exceptional rock crystal has formed into a captivating heart shape — a small natural wonder straight from the Swiss Alps. On one side, it shimmers slightly milky from imprints of siderite mineral, while on the other it appears all the more clear and translucent. A contrast that gives the stone its very own character. Thanks to its beautiful shape, this crystal stands wonderfully on its own and makes an ideal decorative piece, whether on a windowsill, a desk, or as a special gift.

The Story of This Crystal

We discovered this crystal in a steep rock face. It was hard to work at this pocket, you had to hold on well. The strahler's trained eye spotted the crack in the rock, so that in just the right spot we could clear away a bit of grass and soil and open up the pocket. Much of what was inside was unfortunately damaged, but we managed to recover a few points, among them this rock crystal heart.
