Rock crystal group

This rock crystal cluster has an ideal size as a decorative piece or as a collector's item in a display cabinet. Since the fissure was somewhat collapsed at first, a few of the points are slightly chipped. The cluster has a light limonite coloring. The points face in different directions. A beautiful piece from the even more beautiful Piz Beverin.

The Story of This Crystal

Thanks to a lot of erosion after winter, we were able to discover this rock crystal pocket on a spring outing. It was a vertical fissure in dark shale. First a few fragile rock crystal clusters like this one emerged, and later we were able to recover larger pieces and individual calcites as well. The finds could be washed right there in the nearby mountain stream. Watch the Instagram reel to see more.
