These 4 smoky quartz crystals had once detached from the ceiling of the crevice and then fully healed over. As a result, the tips crystallized on both sides, giving these crystals a very special character.

The Story of This Crystal
These crystals come from a narrow crevice in amphibolite rock. We were lucky enough to find the crevice at the edge of a steeply rising glacier. Beneath the vertical rock face at the glacier's bergschrund, we were able to recover beautiful smoky quartz crystals from the crevice right at eye level.
