rock crystal with perfect point

This rock crystal comes from the mighty granite walls of the canton of Uri. Its structure is quite special, as it grew rather flat. The tip is flawless and shows no damage whatsoever. While the crystal appears slightly milky at the base, it becomes increasingly clear toward the tip, a beautiful gradient that gives it its special charm. Thanks to its shape, it stands beautifully on its own, making it an ideal decorative piece for the home.

The Story of This Crystal

This large rock crystal comes from the steep granite walls near Göschenen, just before the Gotthard motorway entrance. We found the pocket during a rappelling trip. Thanks to a small, sturdy tree, we were able to rappel into the slight overhang, where we got to discover the open pocket. Check out the linked Instagram video to see how we struck it lucky that day.
